Tucked away in the heart of Downtown Visalia the LR4U crew stumbled across the Panini Nut House. All we can say is we are nuts over this place.
Stan is always down to try new places especially the establishments that shop local and promote farm to table product. We found this place on social media and decided to give it a gander.
Look for their sign on Main St. or you might just walk on by this place. They are located at 209 W. Main St. nestle towards the back of a small shopping center (follow the signs). Seating is limited but there are a few table outside which is perfect because we prefer outdoor dining (weather permitting).
This place reminds us of a small shop in downtown Avila on the central coast. It’s the perfect lunch spot to hangout with friends.
Enjoy a few pictures we took.
On this visit Stan and I ordered the The Flatliner Panini (18 slices of cheese, Monterey Jack, mozzarella and cheddar, loaded with bacon, house chipotle aoli sauce on panini bread pressed)
and the Chicken Bacon Jalapeño Popper Panini (Grilled chicken breast, bacon, cheddar cheese, jalapeño cream cheese spread and chopped jalapeños on panini bread).
The food was fantastic, full of flavor and pressed to perfection. Stan is looking forward to our return visit to tackle a few of their other paninis.
On this visit one of the owners Eric, paid our table a visit to check on our experience and also spent a few minutes giving us some background on the Panini Nut House. We’ve said it many times before but there is something to be said about an owner that takes a genuine interest in their customers. That kind of customer service will have any customer coming back again and again. Great job!!!
A couple of downsides to the Nut House, one being their drink selection. They were limited and we would love to see a variety of coffees or teas. They have the space for it and I’m sure we will see it in the near future. Lastly, the restrooms were located outside of the restaurant. It’s a bit of a inconvenience having to leave with key in hand to wash your hands. Stan is a bit of a germ-a-phoebe.
Let’s make like a panini and get this review hot off the press. Get it? Paninis are pressed…
